• ​Mould & Fungi Control: Springtails specialise in eating fungal growth and mould spores before they can take over your enclosure. They are the best defence against the "white fuzz" that often appears on new wood or damp substrate.
• ​Waste Management: They consume decaying organic matter, leftover pet food, and animal waste, breaking it down into nutrient-rich soil for your plants.
• ​Natural Prey Source: For dart frogs, small spiderlings, and hatchling invertebrates, springtails serve as a constant, "on-tap" supplemental food source.
• ​Rapid Breeders: Once established in a warm, humid environment, our Tropical White variety breeds incredibly quickly, ensuring your cleanup crew stays at full strength.

​Culture & Care Information

​Our springtails are dispatched in a starter culture that is ready to be seeded directly into your setup.

• ​Habitat: They thrive in high humidity and damp (but not stagnant) substrates. They are perfectly suited to tropical setups, terrariums, and vivariums.
• ​Diet: While they forage for waste, we recommend supplementing them with a pinch of our Invertebrate Algae Wafers or specialised springtail food once a week to encourage rapid breeding.
• ​Temperature: They are happiest between 22°C and 28°C.
