This enclosure features a unique, powerful magnetic closure system. To keep your spider secure, the N35 magnets are designed to be extremely strong.

• Slide, Don't Pull: The door MUST be opened by sliding it horizontally (side-to-side).
• Do Not Pull: Never attempt to pull the door straight towards you or "pop" it open. Doing so puts excessive stress on the acrylic and can cause the door to warp or crack.

What makes the Coffin Dweller different from a standard enclosure?

Is the silver glitter back safe for spiders?
Yes — the glitter is fully encapsulated within the acrylic panel. There is no loose glitter that your spider could come into contact with. It is completely safe.

How do I open the door correctly?
Always slide the door horizontally (side-to-side). Never pull it straight towards you — the N35 magnets are very strong and pulling directly can stress or crack the acrylic. A smooth sideways slide is all it takes.

Will it contain fruit flies and small slings?
Yes — the 1.5mm precision-drilled ventilation holes are small enough to contain Drosophila hydei (large fruit flies) and small spiderlings, while still providing excellent airflow. No mesh is required.

What accessories are compatible with the integrated base magnet?
The base magnet is designed to work with our Bugs & Beyond gothic-inspired accessory range, including the Gothic Tree and Tree Stump hide. Any of our magnetic accessories will anchor securely to the base.
