The Foundation of Flight: Premium Fly Casters (Blue & Green Bottle)
Take control of your feeding schedule with our high-quality Fly Casters. "Casters" are the pupal stage of the fly lifecycle—hard-shelled, dormant, and ready to transform. By purchasing casters, you are getting the most storage-friendly version of aerial prey, allowing you to hatch fresh, vibrant flies exactly when your pets need them.
We offer both Green Bottle and Blue Bottle varieties to ensure you have the perfect size for every predator in your collection.
Available Species
- Green Bottle Casters (Lucilia sericata): The "Standard" size (8–10mm). Ideal for most Jumping Spiders, Mantises, and small insectivorous reptiles. They are highly active and have a brilliant metallic green sheen.
- Blue Bottle Casters (Calliphora vomitoria): The "Heavyweight" size (10–14mm). These produce significantly larger, meatier flies. Perfect for adult large-breed Mantises, larger Jumping Spiders (like Phidippus regius), and medium reptiles.
Why Choose Casters?
- Maximum Shelf Life: Unlike hatched flies, casters can be kept in the refrigerator for several weeks. This "pauses" their development, giving you total control over your feeder supply.
- Clean & Odorless: In their pupal state, casters are dry, stationary, and produce zero mess or smell.
- Hatch-on-Demand: Simply move the desired amount of casters from the fridge to room temperature, and they will emerge as fresh, nutrient-dense flies in just a few days.
- In-House Quality: We turn our own casters daily, ensuring you receive fresh, plump pupae that have a high hatch success rate.

Pro-Tip for the Invert Keeper
The "Successive Hatch" Strategy: To ensure you never run out of food, use the 1-2-3 Rule. Divide your casters into three small portions: place the first portion directly into the enclosure (for immediate hatching), keep the second portion in a cool room (for a mid-week hatch), and leave the third in the refrigerator. This "staggered" approach mimics a natural environment and provides a constant, reliable stream of fresh flies without you ever having to manage a massive swarm all at once!
