Protein Punch: Premium Dried Silkworm Pupae

Give your "Blueberry Beetles" and other scavengers a taste of their favorite high-energy treat! Our Dried Silkworm Pupae are a highly nutritious, protein-heavy supplemental feed that is a proven favorite for Blue Death Feigning Beetles (Asbolus verrucosus), various darkling beetles, and protein-hungry isopod species.

While many invertebrates are scavengers, they require a high-fat and high-protein diet to thrive. Silkworms provide a rich, meaty center encased in a crunchy exterior that mimics the natural carrion these animals would forage for in the wild.

The Perfect Invertebrate Superfood

  • Death Feigning Beetle Favorite: If you’re struggling to get your beetles to eat, silkworms are often the "magic" food that triggers an immediate feeding response and helps maintain their waxy blue coating.
  • Essential for Isopods: Large Porcellio species and various Cubaris morphs go crazy for silkworms. Providing a whole pupa gives them a long-lasting protein source that keeps the colony from turning on one another.
  • 100% Natural: No additives, preservatives, or fillers—just pure, slow-dried silkworm pupae to lock in the nutrients.
  • High Protein & Healthy Fats: Crucial for energy, successful molting, and the production of healthy offspring across all beetle and isopod species.

Pro-Tip for the Invert Keeper

The "Social Feeding" Trick: For large isopod colonies, try placing three or four silkworm pupae in different "dry zones" of the enclosure. You’ll often see "social feeding" clusters where dozens of isopods congregate on a single pupa. It’s a fantastic way to see the various sizes and generations of your colony all in one spot, and it ensures that even the smaller mancae get a chance to grab some high-value protein!
